I highly recommend that you begin and end your Daufuskie self-guided tour at Freeport Marina. They offer golf cart rentals, a bar & grille, general store w/souvenirs & public restrooms). (For discounted reservations call: 843.842.7792).
While you're here be sure to savor a famous Fuskie Deviled Crab***** at the Old Daufuskie Crab Company. They are homemade right here on Daufuskie by local Gullah ladies who harvest the crabs fresh from Daufuskie's waterways. Or better yet, you'll find some of the ^ladies sell their homemade Fuskie Deviled Crabs directly to the public. So do not miss the opportunity to buy directly from these ^ladies. A wonderful exerience, indeed! -Just watch for the ^ladies signs.-
Too, please be aware that Daufuskie has a limited number of public restrooms and refreshment stops. So you may want to take advantage of one when you find it.
