Daufukie 7th Annual Autumn Fest.
A FAMILY-friendly Event with FREE general admission.
Sat., Nov. 5 from Noon-5pm.
Freeport Marina.  

Proceeds will benefit the Daufuskie Endangered Places Program, DEPP, a project by Palmetto Trust for Historic Preservation. They first turned their attention to Daufuskie in 2009.

Fun and food throughout the afternoon with live entertainment by the Chilly Willy Band. Yostie, the Island Puppeteer will keep everyone engaged with her puppets and storytelling. Author, and storyteller, Margie Willis Clary will be on hand for book signings. Among Ms. Clary's books, related to Daufuskie are; "The Beacons of South Carolina", which includes the Bloody Point and Haig Point Lighthouses and "A Sweet, Sweet Basket". She'll also tell a us story or two. Maybe even more. Macaroni Kids www.beaufort.macaronikid.com  will have a booth set up to kid's crafts. Then stop by and have Czerny paint a fun design on your face. And you'll want to be sure to tkae some of fragrant offers of Hen's Tooth Acres http://www.etsy.com/shop/HensToothAcres.  
Their "goat's milk" soap, with essential oils, has fast become a Daufuskie Island favorite. And while you're here, be sure to visit the Daufuskie Community Farm to meet Hen's Tooth Acres extended family of dairy goats. 

The "Festival Bonfire" will burn throughout the afternoon and be nice and hot for roasting marshmallows from 1-3. Oysters will be roasted from 4-6 pm.
